Sterling Property explore sector trends at industry breakfast

April 2025

Sterling Property and Macquarie Bank brought together a room of commercial property professionals last week for an exclusive breakfast exploring the outlook for WA’s industrial and childcare sectors.

Hosted by Senior Relationship Manager – Banking & Financial Services Natalie O’Sullivan under the banner Future of Industrial and Childcare Sectors, the event opened with welcome remarks from Sterling Property Principal Partner Brian Neo and Senior Partner – Asset Services Ryan Abbott.

The morning continued with a joint presentation from Partner Jake Wallman and Senior Partner Colm McHugh, who offered a detailed overview of current market dynamics and transactional activity across both asset classes.

This was followed by an economic update from Macquarie Bank’s Private Banker Sam Clark, and a panel discussion featuring Colm and Jake, alongside Business Development Manager Professional Services Melanie Tattersall and Business Development Manager Property Services Stacy Mills, both from Macquarie Bank.

Partner Jake Wallman said the event was a valuable forum for connecting insights across finance and property.

“It’s always a privilege to present alongside current clients and industry leaders and share what we’re seeing on the ground. The engagement in the room shows just how closely investors and advisors are watching the childcare sector.”

Senior Partner Colm McHugh said WA’s industrial sector continues to attract strong engagement from both occupiers and investors.

“From leasing trends to land values, there’s genuine interest in how the market is evolving and where the next opportunities lie. It was great to share insights and hear from others actively navigating these conditions.”

Principal Partner Brian Neo said the breakfast reflected Sterling Property’s commitment to delivering value beyond the transaction.

“These sessions allow us to bring together key market perspectives and provide actionable intelligence that helps our clients navigate shifting conditions.”

Sterling Property extends its thanks to Senior Relationship Manager Natalie O’Sullivan and Business Operations Coordinator Megan Keady from Macquarie Bank for their support in leading the delivery of the event.
